A few months ago I wrote a blog about the essay contest happening for a home in Yachats. I recently thought about it, and decided to look up to see what happened.

The holders of the contest were unable to make their required 3,000 entries in order to have the contest, after pushing out the closing date. They talked about their experience on their website.

I have to give the sellers credit for trying hard to get more money out of the home, but the reality is that the house is only worth what buyers are willing to pay.

The home is back for sale, as a FSBO, so if you still want to purchase it, you can.
