A splash in the park
The Asher Anderson Waterpark opened on July 4, 2009 at Riverfront Park here in Salem Oregon. We hadn’t been to it yet, and it was hot yesterday so we headed out to go check it out. It is located toward the north end of the park nearby the Willamette Queen and the amphitheatre.
The splash fountain was a huge hit with my kids as well as other people. I’d say there were about 30-40 kids there splashing around and having a good time.
The water smells chlorinated and my kids eyes did get a
little bit irritated after an hour or so. It didn’t stop them from running around and having a great time.
This generous gift is a wonderful addition to the park and gives families just one more reason to get out and head to the city center.
